Dr. Gaurav Khanna is employing his so-called "gravity grid" of PS3s to help measure these theoretical gravity waves -- ripples in space-time that travel at the speed of light -- that Einstein's Theory of Relativity predicted would emerge when such an event takes place.

I got a PS3 myself and that thing is made to perform heavy calculation. Heck, it even has Folder@home software that calculates cells for cancer research. Now, if PS3 has more games to match Xbox360 then it would be all set. This drought is killing me because I can only play Tekken DR Online for so long. I finished Heavenly Sword (which is only about 6 hours long) and the other games are not compelling enough for me to play them, especially Lair.

But what's interesting to me is that according to him, a supercomputer costs $5,000 while 8 60GB PS3 cost $3,200. That means each 60GB PS3 costs $400?
