OU Players Going To NFL 2008
Posted January 16th, 2008 by UrusaiThese are the list as of now:
Malcolm Kelly
Curtis Lofton
Reggie Smith
Marcus Walker
Stay tuned for more updates.
Personal note: losing MK, Lofton and Smith will leave a big dent to Stoops troops this season. I am personally disappointed, but I'm a selfish fan so... good luck for them and wish them to rip it up like AD did this year!
Sooners is Ranked #2 by Mark Schlabach (ESPN)
Posted January 9th, 2008 by Airborne51Media loves us sooo much! Oklahoma gets a generous #2 spot in 2008 preseason standing. It's up to Sooners whether they can live up to the expectation because I personally haven't been able to completely get rid of that bitter taste of Fiesta loss.
2. Oklahoma
With nine starters eligible to come back on offense and seven on defense, the Sooners should be favorites in the Big 12. Now, if Oklahoma just didn't have to play in a bowl game. The Sooners should be explosive on offense, even after losing 1,000-yard rusher Allen Patrick. Tailback DeMarco Murray ran for 764 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman, and quarterback Sam Bradford threw 36 touchdowns with only eight interceptions in his first season as a starter.
Norman Is Getting Busy Again
Posted January 8th, 2008 by BarneyI already saw the heavy traffic going around main street and along 12th ave. It's not like it's anything big, but after a month of holiday season, I can't help but noticing it. The students are coming back!
Time to hit on some chicas :D !
New OU Stadium Project
Posted December 12th, 2007 by Airborne51Pretty groovy story from Tulsa World: http://hosted.ap.org/dyna...

Basically it's saying that a lot of Gaylord Stadium facilities will be improved. Most of them are for internal benefits such as locker room, office space, equipment room and other. I bet Sooner players will love those.
But for fans, they are going to enjoy extra restroom and concession areas. Plus suites on the stadium's east side if they can afford it. Sounds good to me :)
Below is the full article:
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A $12.5 million project to continue improvements at and expansion of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is on the agenda for the upcoming meeting of University of Oklahoma regents.

Sam Bradford Website
Posted December 7th, 2007 by UrusaiWell not really. Apparently some Horns fan decided to be "creative" by buying a domain site http://www.sambradford.co....

What you see on the front page is nothing other than a huge longhorns logo and a statement of challenge to Sooner fans to pay enough dough to make it disappear. I suggest you not to go there. You'll be wasting 5 seconds of your lifetime.
This guy got way too much time on his hand. Doesn't he have finals?

This Is Folks. OU is going to Fiesta Bowl 2007
Posted December 3rd, 2007 by UrusaiThe final BCS is here: http://sports.espn.go.com...
So close! Had we move up by two ranks, we would have been put up to play against Ohio State in New Orleans.
Anyway, the final weekend just shows how crazy this season has been. Upsets, drama, controversy, uproar and everything else are mixed into a 5 month of a reality show so-called college football. This madness is what makes college football so great. Every team must play an A game every weekend to prove that they deserve to play in national championship. That's why college football is 100x more exciting than NFL despite some flaws in BCS system. The whole season itself is literally a 5 month playoff.
Brent Venables to Arkansas?
Posted November 27th, 2007 by UrusaiRumor has been floating around that Brent Venables, the Sooners' defensive coach, is going to Arkansas to replace the resigned ex-coach Houston Nutt. This can't be happening at the worse time. With Big 12 Championship game coming up this weekend, this can be a potential huge distraction to the team. Remember Mike Stoops in 2003?
At the same time, I understand that this is "that" time of the year. Coaches getting fired, new coaches coming in, coaches signing extensions yada yada yada. That's just the way college football works. As soon as they are hired, they have to start getting recruits ASAP.
