Not much is going on lately since Christmas aside from the returning / reselling gifts and shopping for more deals before the end of the year (I know I am). So in order to make up how bad we looked in Fiesta, OU filled up TBA with Chattanooga? I mean, no disrespect for them (They can pull an upset like any other team did last year), but if we want to get back to the NC race, we need a tougher out of conference opponent.

At the end of the day, polls do look hard into schedule strengths and we're not helping ourselves.

Also, there will be a party at San Antonio for Sooner fans. It'll be at The Iron Cactus Mexican Grill on the Riverwalk. It's starting today from 7pm to 10pm (if you can make it on time)

Few things to note when you make the trip to San Antonio this weekend:

- Texas highway patrol is increasing their "coverage" on the northeast side of San Antonio including Randolph AFB and San Antonio International Airport area. So watch out.

- I-35 is having some construction between I-410 and the Bexar/Guadalupe county lines, so you'd have to slow down on those areas.

- If you're still looking for hotel rooms, check out some locations around Randolph AFB and Sea World. You might be in luck.

- Good luck getting the ticket. It's a hell.

There are EIGHT (yeah, EIGHT) teams above OU: Missouri, West Virginia, Ohio State, Georgia, Kansas, Virginia Tech, LSU, and USC. It's impossible to be #1 at this since the 1-loss Ohio State doesn't have any more game to play so forget about it. Our best bet will be the #2 spot, and these events need to happen for Sooners to play in MNC:

- Sooners beat Missouri. Duh.
- WVU loses to Pitts. It's very unlikely but hey, anything goes in 2007 season.
- LSU loses to Tennessee.
- USC loses to UCLA.
- VT loses to BC.

Georgia can't really do anything since they didn't win their division of the SEC. Plus, if other 2-loss teams end up being the conference champions, pollster will favor them more than Georgia. Same scenario happens to Kansas.

So see? Just cross your finger and hope for another armageddon shakeup..
