Embarrassed, annoyed, despair, disappointment. There's so much emotion running through me last night that it took a while to regather myself before posting this blog.
Yes, OU lost AGAIN. And yes, it was another ugly rout. Losing 48-28 by West Virginia in another Fiesta Bowl after an embarrassing lost to Boise State last year. If you didn't know it by know then you are either a caveman/cavewoman or out there in Vegas or overseas. The news is everywhere and Oklahoma Sooners is the official laughing stock of college football to date.
Sorry, I couldn't resist but I can't downplay my disappointment with the Sooners that I've supported all season long just to have their faces plastered as the biggest losers in the big stage of bowl game. And the year 2008 just got started.
Not to take anything away from WVU (they played a heck of a game, BTW) but what happened to Sooners? Are they all that? Having consistently great seasons year after year only to be embarrassed on national television on bowl games makes our season look like a fluke. And it makes Big 12 look like an overrated conference despite Missouri pounding of Arkansas and other Big 12 victories from less-than stellar teams. Even the pokey Oklahoma State enjoyed the fun by winning their bowl in a big fashion.
Why does Oklahoma choke on big stage?
I don't know what the fuck they were doing in December but they didn't show up on Fiesta.

No kidding. This just gotta stop. I left the stadium on 3rd quarter cause I couldn't bare to watch. I felt like I've wasted all my $$$$ spent for this bowl trip.
Boren should take away some of his $3 million salary so Bob gotta earn it again like he did when he was first hired. I want the old Stoops back.
Kansas just won their bowl game, and their schedule is "weak".

Mizzou and Kansas got something to prove. Missouri got dissed by BCS so they had to make a statement that they belong there. Kansas got hosed by Mizzou and disrespected for playing weak opponents all year so they had to show the nation that they are a tough football team.
Oklahoma? Not so much. I bet their butts still feel sore after that heavy WVU pounding. They better remember that coming in this fall season.
Depends on how much hype they'll be getting from the media. Seems like the players and coaching staff's heads get bloated with ego pretty easily with some strokes of complements here and there.

IMO, Bob should tell the players that bowl game is part of their season, not something completely separate. The ultimate goal is to win BCS game, not Big 12.
