I gotta take a break from posting Sooners related blog but I can't stop doing it! That's what any Sooner fan would do. Right? Right?
EDIT: Now that the season is officially over last night after LSU beating OSU 38-24, it's time for football fans to look ahead into 2008 season.

And check out http://collegefootball.ri.... Apparently OU is preseason ranked as #4 based on Sooners' "potential" growth.
Steve Mandel also has his own take on AP ballot : http://sportsillustrated.... . OU is ranked #6 there.

Looks good
Once again OSU gets a preferential treatment.
Kansas and Missouri on top of.... Texas?
Somebody pinch me
No shit. Big 12 North is looking good.
Nu uh, it's just that Texass is getting worse. So beating them in Cotton Bowl won't be much of bragging rights. And if we lose, we'll have a post-boise-state syndrome.
We still need Texass to beat Arizona State. Ya know, for out-of-conference bragging right. And it's PAC10?
OU will drop big on the rank after that ugly loss to WVU. I'd say 6 or 7.
And I'm being optimistic :/
Put Oklahoma on #9-10.
That'll give them something to fight for. If they want to be #1, they gotta earn it. I'd much rather have them going to MNC as #2 because that's going to motivate them to win with fire.
Unless 10 teams going undefeated at the end of the season. Which is very unlikely to happen but last season proved me anything goes so....
I second that.
That'll give some hunger for both the players and the coaches to win it all
Wow, pollsters are being generous to OU. I'm surprised they are even in top 10.
Yeah, literally. OU #4 on rivals.com? How can they go up that high after losing badly in Fiesta? That's a bull.
Although I agree with AP poll. Sooners can't be higher than #8.
Look at it on the bright side. That'll pump them up to earn their way to #1.
Kansas got dissed. They deserves better than #7 with only 1 loss.
No kidding. They have a case for #2 spot.
BTW, Lee Corso ranked Sooners as #3 on 2008 preseason today. Kirk ranked us as #5.
They are way too nice on us. But the consensus was the same: OU gotta show up on the bowl game.
Ya know, I'm feeling sorry for ourselves for having media backing us up and putting a lot of hope to our team despite an ugly bowl performance. They put great expectation on us every single year and the only thing we deliver is disappointment.
Sad.
Doesn't matter. Sooners must have the Patriots' mentality: disciplined, win every game, hungry all the way to the end. The goal is not to win the conference. It's not to beat Texas, either. It's to win it all every F-ing single game.
I'm sick of these blowout embarrassment.
Agree
You guys should get over it. Really. It's time to move forward.
Malcolm is gone. Lofton is gone. Smith is gone.
OUch!
