This is the end of the journey, folks :(
With OU's loss yesterday, the road to BCS MNC is completely diminished. There things that bugged my mind all season finally came into reality last night.
1) Sam Bradford to OU is like Dixon to Oregon. The moment he's gone, the offense fell flat and consequently wore down our defense because they had to be on the field at all times.
2) Our pass coverage just suck. Brent got away with it because the offense has been potent all season that his players get a lot of rest on the sideline
3) Halzle is actually a very good QB. But since he didn't get any play time after Tulsa game he became really rusty. The fourth quarter, however, was when Halzle started to shine because by that time he got enough repetition and became comfortable throwing the ball. Stoops really needs to reevaluate Halzle's playtime because he really can carry the team to win whenever Bradford cannot play.
You gotta give it to Texas Tech. They just outplayed us in the first half so it's really tough to make a comeback on second half.
Halzle needs more playtime, period. I can see him becoming an excellent QB if given enough snaps and passing opportunities.
Just got back from Lubbock. It was ugly. The defense, the offense, everything. It's terrible.

Brent prevent defense got exposed. I saw way too many holes way too often. That TT QB was so comfortable on the pocket that he had all the time he needed to throw the ball to his WRs.
The reason why they don't do much of one-on-one coverage is because either our safeties are not good enough or Brent is still having nightmares of OU-SUC game. We were burned hard and fast in deep passes.
But now they have similar situation in which the opposing WRs make catches then run for some more yards due to that zone defense. Either way, the D is screwed.
Actually, I kinda knew we were going to lose sometime in the mid 1st quarter.

Not only Halzle but Nichol might see some action, too
Murray is not gonna play, either so Brown and AP are going to have a lot of carries in the Bedlam game
I love Halzle. I'd have crapped my pants if I were in his position. But he fought back and got better on 4th quarter. He will be a solid QB really quick
